Rogers connects Nova Scotia with 5G

Now residents and businesses in parts of Halifax have access to this next generation of wireless technology which will be expanding soon to neighbouring communities. Rogers 5G is the first and only 5G network in Atlantic Canada, and is also available in communities across New Brunswick. Rogers currently offers 5G access to half of the Canadian population, and is available in over 700 communities nationwide with the commitment to reach 1,000 by year end.

Rogers and Shaw to come together in $26 billion transaction
ExpiredRogers Communications Inc, and Shaw Communications Inc. announced that they have reached an agreement for Rogers to acquire all of Shaw’s issued and outstanding Class A Shares and Class B Shares in a transaction valued at approximately $26 billion inclusive of approximately $6 billion of Shaw debt (the “Transaction”). The offer price of $40.50 per share represents a significant premium for Shaw shareholders; further details of the transaction are described below. The transaction is not subject to a financing condition as Rogers has secured committed debt financing, which it will use along with balance sheet cash and the issuance of 23.6 million shares to the Shaw Family Living Trust.
