SaskTel has launched a major 5G network expansion, connecting nearly 100 rural cell sites across Saskatchewan, including Arborfield, Zenon Park, and other communities and highway corridors. This expansion reflects SaskTel’s commitment to delivering next-generation wireless connectivity in rural areas.

The expansion is part of SaskTel’s broader goal to strengthen the province’s digital infrastructure, providing faster data speeds and improved connectivity. Currently, the telecom operator’s 5G network offers speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps, with plans to attain higher speeds as the network evolves.

This cutting-edge technology goes beyond faster data speeds; it empowers individuals, businesses, and industries with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world. Whether it’s expanding access to remote healthcare, supporting online learning, or driving innovation in agriculture and transportation, 5G is delivering for our province’s economic growth and future prosperity.”

Charlene Gavel, SaskTel’s President and CEO, stated, “We are thrilled to expand our advanced 5G network to more hometowns across Saskatchewan. As Saskatchewan’s homegrown communications leader, SaskTel is committed to delivering high-quality communications solutions that allow our customers to connect to what matters most to them, no matter where they live in our province.”
